Mr. Narayanan Vaghul, Chairman
Mr. Vaghul was the Chairman of ICICI Bank, which is the second largest bank in the country, until April 2009. He has nearly 50 years of experience in the banking industry and has held assignments in several other banks before assuming the office of the Chairman of ICICI Bank in 1985. He also serves on the Boards of several leading corporations in India and the UK such as Arcelor Mittal, Wipro, Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, Piramal Healthcare Limited and Apollo Hospitals & Enterprise Limited. Mr. Vaghul is actively involved in promoting several public causes notably the universalisation of elementary education in the country. He is the Director of Pratham India Education Initiative which is primarily engaged in serving the underprivileged children living in slum areas and who do not have either access to education or quality education.
Mr. Vaghul is the recipient of numerous awards and honours. He was chosen as the Business Man of the Year by Business India in 1992. He was given Lifetime Achievement Award by the Economic Times in 2006. He was given an award for the contribution to the Corporate Governance by the Institute of Company Secretaries in 2007. He was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by the “Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award Program” in 2009. He was awarded Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2009.
Mr. Rajiv C Lochan
Mr. Rajiv C Lochan is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kasturi and Sons Limited (KSL). He is an alumnus Partner of McKinsey’s India practice and serves as a Senior Advisor to the McKinsey Leadership Institute, India and is a global faculty member on the Firm’s internal mid-tenure leadership development efforts. In addition, he is a Trustee Board member of IKP Trust.
Rajiv was the Founding Location Manager of McKinsey’s third location in India in Chennai set up in 2008. He joined the Firm in Boston and subsequently spent a decade based in India, where he served over 30 institutions, including 25 banks and financial institutions. He was a leader of McKinsey’s Financial Institutions practice as well as our Social Sector practice in India focused on catalysing financial inclusion and rural economic development in India. In addition, he led the India practice’s learning efforts for six years. Prior to McKinsey & Company, Rajiv worked for American Express Company in New York, where he was most recently Director Risk Management, responsible for credit/fraud authorizations policy formulation. Rajiv has also worked with US Airways in Arlington, VA in the schedule-planning group and was a summer intern at the World Bank in Washington, DC.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, an MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts and an M.B.A. from the Columbia Business School in New York.
Sivaram Bandhakavi, President and CEO
As President and CEO of IKP Trust, Sivaram serves and promotes its mission to enable the use of advanced scientific knowledge, especially in Healthcare and Life Sciences, for the progress of the society. He serves as Director on the Boards of all group companies and manages IKP Centre for Technologies in Public Health and SughaVazhvu Healthcare, IKP Trust’s efforts in Healthcare. He has a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and a B. Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
Before joining IKP Trust, Sivaram had 15 years of program design, management and consulting experience in public and private sectors, working in India and in the USA. In his most recent role before IKP Trust, he was the Director of Cambridge Policy Research, where he conceptualized and designed large-scale transformation programs in the public sector. He served clients such as UID Authority of India (Aadhaar), Ministry of Home Affairs, HRD Ministry and National Institute for Smart Government; and designed public programs, developed operations strategy and implementation models and led consulting teams that developed implementation solutions. Earlier he was a consultant with the World Bank’s Private Sector Development group. Before that, Sivaram worked with Cognizant for several years in USA and India. In his most recent role at Cognizant, he worked closely with senior management on issues related to public policy and on internal consulting engagements in various aspects of organization development. He is the co-author of “Leading without Licence” and is an adjunct at IIT Madras.
Erin Nancy Jeremiah has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an overall work experience of 10+ years. She has appeared for the company secretaries examinations (Executive Programme) with the Institute of Companies Secretaries of India.
Erin’s area of expertise includes Administration and Human Resources. She works closely with the senior & junior management team to ensure the proper working of the organization. she is a very good team player and can manage things independently. She also plays an active role in handling disciplinary disputes and grievance of all staff including our entities. On daily basics she manages all HR related activities and works closely with our consultants to handle all compliance related work. She also plays an active role in the recruitment process for the Trust.
Erin is one of the longest-serving employees who eagerly looks forward to growing and building up a good career with the Trust.
A Chartered Accountant from the year 2011 and commenced his practice in the year 2012. He has a under graduation degree in Commerce from Loyola college and also is a Graduate Company Secretary. His experience includes stints at Tata Capital Limited & training at Orchid Pharmaceuticals before starting to practice his profession.His expertise include Risk based Internal audits, Creation of Standard Operating Procedures of Companies in spheres of Logistics &NGO’s, due diligence, Statutory &Tax audits. He actively engages himself on self-improvement programs and has joy in participating training programs for corporates under guidance of his senior trainers who are specialized in Management by Games.
His services for consulting in IKP Trust started from November 2012 and has been working on financial compliance aspects, Management information reporting, Secretarial aspects and complete accounting control of the few entities held by IKP Trust. He has been reporting to thecouncil members on the activities of the entities on matters relating to its budgeting & financial position.
He has been focussing on serving the Corporates on matters relevant to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which directly helps in effective implementation of the activity leading to creation of an impact in the Social vertical.
